»Rush Hour«
Videoinstallation in public space
Saarbrücken, Germany 2008

Video projection on two retro-projection layers, loop 10 min, 2.1 speaker

»Rush Hour« is a fictional trip with a subway. Videos of various european subways and trains were
edited together to form a new and rythmic clip. Hectic and rush-hour journeys are followed by quiter
ones. Projected into space, the video becomes more abstract, like pictures and trails of lights.. When
exhibited in Saarbrücken it was projected face to face to a tramline, so reality and fiction became
confronted to each other.
